Photofusion exhibition work

Photofusion exhibition work

This work was created in the spring and brings together direction, styling and image-making to explore ideas of beauty, power, the grotesque and self-expression.

At its heart, the project questions what we are taught to see as beautiful, and instead chooses to celebrate individuality and the confidence that comes with embracing who we really are.

Every part of the process was carefully considered, from the clothing and styling to the way each image was framed and composed, so that the work could hold these themes clearly.

When shown in the exhibition, the project became more than just a collection of images. It became a way to share a personal perspective and invite others to think about how self-expression can be complex, messy and powerful.

The work asks viewers to look again at what is often overlooked, to find beauty in what is unusual, and to recognise the strength that comes from embracing the unconventional.
